As days go by in Gaza, a Palestinian territory on the eastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea, life has become unbearable as indiscriminate Israeli airstrikes continue to hit this blockaded territory; more than 200 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli airstrikes in Gaza, residential buildings have been flattened, homes have been destroyed and water supplies are running out.

Israel continues to use self-defense as its key rhetoric to explain these recent attacks, stating the country is targeting tunnels and military facilities following rocket attacks by Palestinian factions. Ten Israelis have been killed so far. Hamas, an Islamic Resistance Movement, says its actions were in response to Israel’s policy of forced displacements of Palestinians in East Jerusalem, and the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli forces last week.
